Hi,

Our attention spans are diminishing, for sure! Ask any Valley Girl!

We crave curt content - short, sound bites, that are sharp bits of content that we can consume in a heartbeat without much thinking or effort, to be consumed by the masses, the 3rd grade mentality like the NY Post or Daily News as opposed to the NY Times for college types... I don't blame them we're inundated with information to the point of information overload via the plethora of various media types... Movies, Radio, TV, & reiterated, by their inet counterparts...

Ah yes a pictures or moving pictures is worth a 1,000+ words or more ...It’s no surprise then that visual content is 40x times more likely to get shared on social media than other types of content. That’s why social media platforms such as Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Snapchat continue to grow in popularity. YouTube itself has a 1B+ users ( it's Chinese counterpart, YOUKU has 1/2B ) that visit each and every month, if it was a country it would be 3rd largest next to China and India, in population. But, wait 'til Google the parent company connects the other 2/3rds of the world, that's not connected, with their communication relay systems that are sent aloft, as we speak with and like weather balloons 2x a day. But I digress, they the snappy snippets are visual, and have a unique way of delivering a complex message all within a few seconds. ... Yes!, unequivocally, we live in a "Global Village," anything and everything that happens, anytime - anywhere... gets instantly delivered to your living room or vehicle. As such we are mobile to booth, we the jetsetters, can get on a plane, like some people grab taxis and be anywhere in 24 hrs ....we live in one state, work in another and vacation in a third.

The more reliant the world becomes on these visual socialmedia platforms, the more pressure there is for digital entrepreneurs like you and I to adapt quickly and find ways to engage and hold our audience. Because engagement is a scarce resource, you now have to earn it, especially if you want to hold on to it and keep it... and you must continuously feed it as in streaming media..... very popular in intagram's parent company facebook. AGAIN Facebook, itself has a 1B+ users ( it's Chinese counterpart, Xiaonei ( facebook clone ) or now, known as Renren has 1/2B ) that visit each and every month - again - if, it was a country it would be 3rd largest next to China and India, in population. But, wait 'til facebook the parent company connects the other 2/3rds of the world with their communication relay systems that are sent aloft, as we speak with solar powered gossammer planes and 64 satellites systems launched by SpaceX, which stay aloft for indefinite periods.

But, again, I digress ... Yes!, affirmatively - unequivocally, we live in a "Global Village," anything and everything that happens, anytime - anywhere... gets instantly delivered to your living room or vehicle. As such we're truly mobile to booth, we the jetsetters, can get on a plane - Learjet, like some people grab taxis and be anywhere in 24 hrs ....we live in one country, work in another and vacation in a third.

AND, IF SpaceX's CEO has his way we live in a "Global Village," anything and everything that happens, anytime - anywhere... gets instantly delivered to your living room or vehicle. As such we're truly mobile to booth, we the jetsetters, can get on a plane - Learjet, like some people grab taxis and be anywhere in 48 hrs ....we live in one planet, work in another planetary body like the moon and vacation in a third, Mars. Ye,s we live in the most, exciting times...

Some of you may see this as a direct challenge to the way you currently understand socialmedia marketing and engagement. But for others, those of you ready to move fast, and keep up with us... it’s a huge opportunity to capture a new and highly engaged and active group of people that make great potentially prolific protégés and prospects, chance clients and customers.

If you’re ready to take a few risks and diversify your digital strategy, Instagram is a great place to start.

Instagram has over 500 million monthly active users, and it’s growing every day. I like to think of it as the younger, more visual version of Twitter, where engagement is still flourishing (not on the decline).
