Hi,
What do you do when you visit someone's website?
Do you go straight to the blog?
Maybe you click on the "about" tab to see what they are focused on.
Sometimes that is hard to find.
You may even click on their social buttons to see what they are sharing on their social networks?
That can be very revealing.
On some sites the design is so cool that you can't find anything. It's all about the creative, and the artists got mixed up between art and being confused.
They may have thought they were Andy Warhol or Picasso but had forgotten their paintbrushes. I visited one of those sites the other day.
One word...
Frustrating
Steve Jobs was known to say "Good design is not what it looks like but how it works".
So the 64 million dollar question?
"What is the primary objective that you want from people when they visit your blog, eCommerce store or amazing digital portal?"
For me it is to convert visitors into leads and then sales. It may require some awesome content first but good marketing has always been about this.
Educate first and sell second.
Now that seemingly simple online process has an acronym…"CRO".
That stands for "Conversion Rate Optimization" and it is the science of converting website visitors into leads and sales.
Do you care about your website's conversion rate? If so, we have just the tool for you.
It's called Crazy Egg.
Strange name...
But that's what happens when you hang out at a bar when you write a business plan for a start-up.
And brainstorm names...
But the reality?
It's your new CRO secret weapon. Crazy Egg allows website owners to create tests to figure out what people are doing on their website.
Imagine being able to see EXACTLY where your users click and look on your website, in real-time.
Just for reading this email, after enticing you to visit my website from Google or Twitter and sign up to get my fabulous free stuff.
Crazy Egg's Confetti and Heatmap features are simple and affordable heat mapping tools that allow you to visually understand user behavior.
I had to twist their arm hard.
But I am persuasive.
Cheers, John Silva
