Hey, there...

Imagine if today you went to the grocery store. Or even the mall... And right when you walked in, you started dancing.

Like legit, dancing. People would look at you like you're CRAZY, right? But why...?

After all, people dance all the time! At clubs, bars, weddings, etc... BUT...

Not in the grocery store or the mall. Guess what? The same concept applies when it comes to people buying stuff on FB.

People go to the store and buy picture frames every day. People go to the store and buy microwaves every day. People go to the store and buy sheets for their bed every day.

But if you run a FB ad selling these products, you will find it very hard to make sales. The reason is because these aren't what I like to call, "social media friendly products." For someone to buy something on Facebook, it needs to be unique -- a novelty. Something where someone stops and says, "wow, that's really cool."

The only exception to this rule is if you have an established brand OR if people buy these products AFTER viewing your "social media friendly products." This is one of the biggest mistakes I see people make when it comes to selling products on Facebook. They find popular products, put them in a Shopify store, create an ad, and expect to crush it. Sorry...not happening.

There are certain types of products you've gotta sell if you want to be successful on Facebook.

Next time you're about to test a new product, ask yourself, "is this something unique?" Or is it something people are used to buying every day in a traditional store? Once you get this concept down, you'll spend your ad dollars testing the RIGHT type of product, and finding your winners much, much quicker :).
