Social media platforms such as Google (Yahoo & AOL), Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram etc. are great examples exemplifying the incredible exponential growth of online subscription services. If any of the major ones were countries, they would be third in population next to China and India in-terms of users per month.

The internet and social media changed the network marketing game forever. First of all, it’s saving business owners time and allowing you to reach millions of people with ease.

Entrepreneurs and business owners can work from home, send an email to a list of 15,000+ people inviting them to purchase a product or service, and create cash on demand.

At the same time, it has enabled users to protect themselves from “scams” after doing a quick Google search. Not to mention the possibility of prospects being exposed to other network marketing companies, hence, scaring the sh!+ out of most distributors.

Most people quit because they don’t want to do home or hotel meetings, cold calling or fly to hyped up events. As a result, they aren’t making money. Curiosity will set in for some and they’ll start to ask the right questions, “can I build this business online?” "can I scale it up to a living wage?." etc.

Talking About Your Product or Opportunity

If you are anything like myself then you are probably guilty of leading with your product or opportunity, when prospecting.

Leading with your opportunity is a natural thing distributors often do because that’s what they are interested in and enjoy talking about.

Unfortunately, it may surprise you that your customers and prospects are not always interested in what you want to talk about which is stopping you from getting your message across.

The term for this method is called “push marketing” because you’re pushing your opportunity on someone, rather than “pulling” them in by using the attraction marketing formula.

Understand that everyone, including you, is asking themselves one question; “What’s in it for me?”

What’s In It For Me?

How can I benefit?

What would this mean to me?

Prospecting-and-recruiting

It’s important to try and get into the mind of your prospect by asking yourself a few simple questions.

Why would this person join my business? (Note: People Do Not Join Businesses, People Join People That They Know, Like, Respect and Trust)

Why would this person purchase my product?

Do they have a problem or issue that I can help resolve?

A perfect example would be a distributor that sells weight loss products. Imagine him or her trying to sell to a friend who’s comfortable with their weight or could care less care less about hitting the gym.

Do you think talking about weight loss supplements would honestly peak their interest?

Instead of thinking about yourself, take a different perspective and focus your attention on the benefits and results. This is essential to your attraction marketing system.

We Are Motivated By Our Feelings

Explain to your prospects how your business can help them make money doing less work. Save money and spend more time with loved ones. For example.

Painting the picture of the end result is what will get prospects to join your team, never the business itself because people make buying decisions from emotions.

Here’s an example:

Instead of saying, “My product can help get rid of wrinkles”, saying something like this; “Just imagine what it will feel like when you walk in looking 10 years younger than everyone else? I can imagine you’d feel pretty excited about it. That’s what my skin care product can do for you.”

Which one sounds better?

To summarize, you want to find the problem, and offer the solution.

Online marketing and recruiting strategies are the most effective and the dominant people will build direct sales and network marketing businesses in 2016 and beyond.

If you refuse to adapt, you’ll most certainly continue the struggle in you MLM business and eventually crash and burn.
