About Money Market, EFTs Stocks & Bonds Investing - Is It For You?
Money Market investing is depositing money with a bank or financial institution that keeps its cash in financial obligations that span a short term. This is done to provide low risk Money Market investing that yields modest returns.
Unlike buying Real Estate, EFTs, Stocks & Bonds, where obligations may span a long term. An ETF, or exchange traded fund, is a marketable security that tracks an index, a commodity, bonds, or a basket of assets like an index fund. Unlike mutual funds, an ETF trades like a common stock on a stock exchange.
ETFs experience price changes throughout the day as they are bought and sold. This is done to provide higher risk than Money Market investing and that yields higher returns, over the long run.
A stock is a type of security that signifies ownership in a corporation and represents a partial claim on part of the corporation's assets and earnings. There are two main types of stock: common and preferred.

The word "DRIP" is an acronym for "dividend reinvestment plan", but "DRIP" also happens to describe the way the plan works. With DRIPs, the dividends that an investor receives from a company go toward the purchase of more stock, making the investment in the company grow little by little.

Interest rates from Money Market accounts are usually based on risk. The Money Market accounts and mutual funds paying the highest interest are, thereby, likely to run the highest financial risk. The same is true for Stocks, Options & Bonds.
This is where the Money Market investor needs to weigh the security of their monies against the promise of return. Again we have a parallel to investing in Stocks, Options & Bonds. Different Money Market accounts make varying demands on the investor. Some will maintain a higher minimum balance, while others will limit the number of allowable withdrawals, some might do both.
Stocks, Options & Bonds, may or may not have similar restrictions it depends on the specific securities in question. However as a rule banks do limit the number of transfers of funds, between accounts once liquidated at some threshold, wherein if one exceeds that, a fee has to be paid.
Also a fee is paid for management of securities and funds distribution. You can also setup a DRIP fund wherein you elect to transfer, say every pay day a sum of money like $50 or more which go into a Money Market Fund and the broker or Investment Bank buys securities for you assuming ofcourse you have an account with positions in place, so you end up a fraction of shares, in addition to the whole number shares.
It is important to be aware of the restrictions and obligations placed upon your Money Market, Stocks, Options & Bonds, investing before you decide where and how to make your investments.
