How to fix Fb.com login issue

Have you been experiencing issues with fb login, reset password and have the same issue, your browser has been hijacked by the fb virus, and by now you've probably sent the scammers your ID, as suggested in order to recover and have been told that it doesn't pass muster... sounds familiar?

Someone has been hacking accounts and sending this virus through various people across Facebook. Suggestions as to what to do is below.

Cleanup fb virus in 9 steps with pictures

WikiHow.com/Clean-up-a-Facebook-Virus

Change FB password

Norton Virus Scan Go to Security.Symantec.com/sscv6/home.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym&plfid=23&pkj=CJTGBWYSHSFVIGMKIIP&bhcp=1 Download (DL) and scan.

CC Cleaner

Go to CCleaner.com and download CCleaner software, install and run the cleaner portion and the registry portion. If you have any security questions for online banking or whatever, make sure you know the answers BEFORE running this as chances are you will have to answer them again after the fact.

Change FB password one more time after doing the first three steps if changing it the first time did not fix the problem.

System Restore

As a last resort, if all of this is done 100% and it still does not correct the problem, go back to the day you think the virus was first put on your system and do a system restore to one of the checkpoints BEFORE that date. Find a restore point somewhere about a week before today's date. In XP, it's found in Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore. On Vista, click the Start Button. Then, in the Start Search box, begin typing the word "system", and System Restore should appear in the search list.

Use Ad-Aware Free (adaware_installer.exe) or Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (mbam-setup.exe), these are two other ways to cleanup the virus in question.

Ad-Aware Free (adaware_installer.exe)
fb.com login don't work
( changed pass ;D )

step 1. Get ad-aware free
step 2. Check for example zyngapoker bot 20xx, is it workg?
step 3. After DL of ad-aware free, update, install & restart
step 4. Scan computer
step 5. Restart, after scan, to complete the process
step 6. Goto.... My Computer....
c:/Windows/Systems 32/Drivers and enter "etc" subdirectory, see Hosts file

Delete all other files found, just leave hosts file (windows will regenerate all other files once you, restart).

step 7. Use notepad call up Hosts file localhost/facebook.com/www.facebook.com

find it, delete last text line having to do with facebook and its' IP mapping, (delete it: highlight it, right click and delete) close notepad, click save - restart

step 8. open facebook again
Login ( AGAIN, changed pass :D )

Uses Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

step 1. Get Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (DL 8)

step 2. install Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, restart and scan computer etc.
It'll update then scan memory, startup files, registry systems files, perform heuristic analysis and protect your system heristically.

step 3. when the restart comes backup there are a few settings you'll need to change like homepage, search engine defaults. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware page that comes up at restart/startup will walk you thru it.

See, another YouTube step-by-step instruction video, as outlined above (search for "Killing the Facebook Virus"):

NOTE Virus: "Pup.Optional.Webar\...\wb.exe" several Files, Process C:\program Files\Webar\ & Key HKLM/SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\SERVICES... about 4 - 66 detected objects found that are unwanted, when scanning. Remove all: 66 threats successfully quarantined
